In 2005, the Greasebucket tone circuit was introduced. In summer 2006, the Highway 1 Stratocaster was completely overhauled with new pickups that feature a high-gain distortion-friendly sound, the Greasebucket tone circuit on the bridge pickup, larger frets, a high-mass bridge, narrower bridge saddles, new colors, and vintage '70s styling (headstock decal).
