Only 275 instruments were built (185 in the U.S. and 90 exported to other countries). This guitar was sold exclusively through Guitar Center the day after Thanksgiving, November 24, 2006. Most guitars sold new for between $19,500 and $22,000. The guitar includes a Duck Bros. case, signed certificate of authenticity, an Eric Clapton Crossroads box set, Thank You letter and brochure from the Crossroads Centre, and a Christie's auction catalog. Guitar Center bought "Blackie" for $959,500 on June 24, 2004 from Christie's Auction. A portion of the sales from the reproduction at GC will go to Clapton's Crossroad Centre.
