- rounded cutaway, laminate maple top, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with notched rectangle inlay, single body binding, tortoiseshell pickguard, trapeze tailpiece, nickel hardware, one pickup, volume/tone controls, available in Natural or Sunburst finish, 17.375 in. body width, mfg. 1950-1964.
Starting in 1953, some models were available with DeArmond pickups, and clear plastic barrel knobs and Sunburst and Blonde finishes were introduced. In 1954, this model was re-designated the Zephyr Electric as a cutaway or non-cutaway. In 1958, this model was renamed the Gibson-Epiphone Zephyr.
