EPIPHONE ZEPHYR Description
- unspecified wattage (until 1949), 1-12 in. speaker, AC/DC power, tube chassis, single channel, on/off switch, three input jacks, volume and tone controls, wood cabinet, "E" logo on grille, mfg. 1939-1957.
In 1949, wattage set at 20W, vibrato available as an option with controls for speed and intensity, and the AC/DC option was discontinued. In 1950, vibrato was standard, and wood cabinet was made of walnut veneer. In 1954, a footswitch for vibrato was an option. In 1955, output was increased to 30W, the speaker was upped to 1-15", a second channel was added with another input jack, volume and tone controls for each channel, and covering was changed to a yellow plastic linen with a brown grille.
