- symmetrical body (similar to Gibson Style A), laminated curly maple body, f holes, triple-ply body binding, maple neck, 12/22 bound rosewood fingerboard with blcok inlays, center dip headstock with logo, four-per-side tuners, single four-pole pickup, volume and tone controls on either side of the bridge, adj. rosewood bridge, input jack, nickel hardware, available in Natural finish, mfg. 1939-1957.
In 1950, the neck was changed to cherry, the use of Mastervoicer controls was disc., the knobs and input jack were all on the treble side, an Epiphone E was placed on the pickguard, and the pickup became covered.
