- similar to G-400, except has Bigsby-derived tremolo bridge, available in Cherry finish, mfg. 1997-99.
EPIPHONE G-400 Custom (Model EGG5)
- similar to G-400, except has three covered humbuckers, white pickguard, gold hardware, fingerboard block inlays, bound neck and headstock, available in Antique Ivory finish, mfg. 1998-2000, reintroduced 2003-2011.

EPIPHONE G-400 (MODEL EGG4) Description
- similar to G-310, except has mahogany body, set mahogany neck, trapezoid fingerboard inlays, three-per-side vintage-style tuners, smaller pickguard, two covered humbucker pickups, available in Cherry or Ebony finish, mfg. 1989-2012.
This model is based on Gibson's SG model, circa 1962. In 1998, Ebony finish was introduced.
