- Grand Auditorium-sized Parlor-style body, solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, round soundhole with three-ring rosette, multi-ply body binding, mahogany neck, 12/18-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, bound headstock with black overlay and Epiphone logo, "Blues Master" on truss rod cover, three-per-side chrome tuners, rosewood bridge, available in Ebony, Natural, or Vintage Sunburst finish, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1994-98.
In 1997, the Bluesmaster was renamed The Songwriter and the name was changed on the truss rod cover.
