DANELECTRO CONVERTIBLE Description
- double cutaway Masonite body with vinyl edging and round soundhole, floating bridge, no pickguard, body mounted input jack, "Coke bottle" headstock with decal logo through 1967, then 6-in-line headstock with raised chrome script logo through 1969. Offered with or without electronics (hence the name Convertible). If without electronics, chrome "decorative" inserts are fitted in the control holes. Early versions have a single screw mounting the tailpiece and only two Allen screws on the rosewood bridge, later versions have two screws mounting the tailpiece with three Allen screws on the rosewood bridge, available in Blonde, Red, or Blue finish, introduced 1958 and available through 1969.
