AMPEG G-12 GEMINI I Description
- 22W, 1-12 in. speaker, guitar/accordion combo, seven-tube chassis, preamp: 3 X 6SL7/12AX7, 1 X 6SN7, 1 X 7199, power: 2 X 7591A, solid-state rectifier, two channels, reverb, tremolo, front chrome control panel, four inputs (two per channel with one each for accordion and one for guitar), nine black knobs (Ch. 1: s, i, v, t, b, echo, Ch. 2: v, t, b), two-button footswitch, available in Blue Check covering with a gray grille, mfg. 1964-68.
The treble control had a click stop feature that acted as a bright switch when clicked past. Reverb was only available on the first channel, but models have been observed between 1966-67 with another reverb control for the second channel on the back of the amp - it is likely that this was a non-cataloged factory option. This model was also available with a Lansing speaker and called the G-12L.
