AMPEG EJ-12 ECHO JET Description
- 12W, 1-12 in. speaker, add-on reverb unit that can also be used as a stand alone guitar amplifier, four tube chassis, preamp: 1 X 6D10, power: 2 X 7591, rectifier: 5Y3GT, single channel, top control panel, two inputs, two knobs (v, tone), power switch, one-button footswitch, available in Blue Check covering with a gray grille, mfg. 1963-64.
The EJ-12 Echo Jet was designed to be used as reverb unit that could be added to any amplifier that did not have reverb. However, it could also be used as a stand alone guitar amplifier similar in performance to the J-12 Jet, but when used as just a guitar amplifier reverb could not be utilized.
