The Heritage Guitar Company opened in 1985 setting up shop in the original Gibson factory that had moved from Kalamazoo, MI to Nashville, TN a year earlier. While Heritage currently focuses on hollowbody, semi-hollowbody, and solidbody electric guitars, they have also experminented with acoustic and mandolin instruments. Most Heritage mandolins were produced during the 1990s. Heritage also built a banjo model on a limited availability basis. By 2001, Heritage had stopped offering their entire line of acoustic instruments including mandolins to focus on electric guitars.
For more comapny history refer to the Blue Book of Electric Guitars. For more information, visit Heritage's website or contact them directly.
Mandolins previously produced in Kalamazoo, MI between the late 1980s and 2000. Distributed by the Lasar Music Corporation in Brentwood, TN.
