Wayne and Robyn Rogers were folk musicians during the 1970s and 1980s, and in 1978, they opened the Strings N' Things Music Center. In 1993, they started Gold Tone after Wayne designed the TB-100 Travel Banjo. They started distributing the Traveler mail order catalog, and after a positive review in the Banjo Newsletter Gold Tone instruments became very popular. During the 1990s and 2000s, Gold Tone expanded their line with many new instruments and ideas. Currently, they produce mandolins, mando banjos, four-, five- and six-string banjos, banjitars, Weissenborns, resonators, and metal bodies. For more information, visit Gold Tone's website or contact them directly.
Mandolins and other instruments currently built in Korea and set up in Titusville, FL since 1993. Distributed by Gold Tone.
