Luthier Bruce Herron has been building guitars since 1979. The first Blue Star electric guitar was built in 1984. Herron's initial production model, the Travelcaster (a travel-sized six-string electric) was introduced in 1990. As far as mandolins, Herron builds the Mandoblaster, which is a solid-body mandolin in four- and five-string configurations. In his one-man shop, Herron now offers a range of electric stringed instruments distributed both in his hometown near Holland, MI, as well as through Elderly Instruments. For more information, visit Elderly's website.
Mandolins currently built in Fennville, MI since 1981. Distributed by Elderly Instruments of Lansing, MI.
