We do not have serialization information at this point. However we do have some points in production that can help to date your amplifier. This is also a guide to show whether a certain model may have received upgrades or changes without noting in the model listings.
1984: The first model, the PB-200, as a rack-mount unit was released.
1985: The second model, the SM-400 was released.
1986: The third model, the SS-180 rack-mount unit was released.
1987: The PB-200 was upgraded and changed to the ST-220.
1996: The Pro Series speaker grilles were changed from triangular bronze to the black and silver square punch.
1999: The Pro Series front control panels were changed from black to chrome, and the speaker grille was changed from a powder coat to chrome.The Workingman's series grilles were changed from black and silver to red and navy blue.
2002: The Pro Series front control panels were changed from chrome to a brushed aluminum with the dome logo. The Workingman's series grilles were changed from red and navy blue to midnight blue with the dome logo.
