ELECTRIC TUBE AMPLIFIERS: 18 & 20 WATT SERIES

This series of amps was debuted in the Summer of 1965, right around the same time as the 100 Watt heads. The 18 Watt amps were released first and then in 1967 were replaced by the 20 Watt amps. These two amps were identical as far as cosmetics, but the electronics inside were completely different. The 18 Watts are more desirable than the 20 Watts.

X 8 in. elliptical speakers, separate head and two cabinets, tube chassis, preamp: 2 X ECC83, power: 2 X EL84, solid-state rectifier, two channels, front gold control panel, four inputs, four knobs (Ch. 1: v, tone, Ch. 2: v, tone), black covering, brown grille, mfg. 1967-1973.
This model was sold as a set of one head and two cabinets. Price includes all parts.

- similar to the Model 1973 20W Lead/Bass, except is in separate head and cabinet with 1-12 in. speaker in a ported enclosure, mfg. 1973 only.
This model was never listed in the Marshall catalogs, and there is some confusion about what model number this really was. It has been seen as Model 2061, as well as the Model 1973.
