DELUXE (NARROW PANEL)

View Details
- 15W, 1-12 in. Jensen speaker, tube chassis, preamp: 12AX7, 12AY7, power: 2 X 6V6, 5Y3 rectifier, top control panel, four inputs, three pointer knobs (inst. v, mic. v, tone), ground switch, diagonal tweed covering, brown tweed-era grille, mfg. 1955-1960.
The 5E3 Model was introduced when it switched to Narrow Panel. This model had a new ground switch and four inputs. When the model was changed to 5F3 from 5E3 the half of the 12AX7 tube was being used, leaving the other half as another preamp stage. This means the other half could be used to create higher gain. Musicians know the Deluxe as a model to distort at low volumes.
