FENDER DELUXE (BLACKFACE) Description
- 20W, 1-12 in. Jensen speaker, tube chassis, preamp: 2 X 7025, 12AX7, 12AY7, power: 2 X 6V6, GZ34 rectifier, two channels, blackface control panel, four inputs, (two normal, two vibrato), eight silver-top knobs (Norm: v, b, t, Vib: v, b, t, s, i), black tolex covering, silver grille, mfg. 1963-66.
When the Blackface was introduced (Model AA763), it had separate bass and treble controls. Models AA763 and AB763 are almost identical. In 1966, some amps get the underlined Fender nameplates on the grilles.
Tremolo operates on bright channel only.
