This model was also known as the Student or the Student 600.

This is the rare version that came before the Champion 600. It is estimated that only 100 of these amps were produced.

This model was called the student in the catalog, and was renamed due to other claimants to that name. Earlier versions of this model had the "600" logo on the control plate, later ones had "Champ Amp" on the plate.

Some later models came with black tolex covering, and a silver sparkle grille (circa 1963/64).In 1951, a choke was added to the high-voltage filter section and the use of negative feedback was used (Model 5E1). In 1956, the choke was removed (Model 5F1, and the chassis remained unchanged until 1964.

In 1964, separate bass and treble controls were introduced (Model AA764). In 1965, output increased to 5W. In 1968, Silverface was introduced. In 1972, output increased to 6W . Chassis remained unchanged until 1982

This model was a cheaper version of the Super Champ and featured completely new circuitry.

This model came with five custom coverings, including red, white, gray, and snakeskin besides the standard black.

This amp uses reverb and switching lead sound using the reverb drive as an extra preamp.
