Some later models came with black tolex covering, and a silver sparkle grille (circa 1963/64).In 1951, a choke was added to the high-voltage filter section and the use of negative feedback was used (Model 5E1). In 1956, the choke was removed (Model 5F1, and the chassis remained unchanged until 1964.
