ELECTRIC TUBE AMPS: EARLY MODELS BASSAMP/GUITARAMP MODELS

The Model 500/700 Guitar amps were introduced in 1950 as the first guitar amps for Ampeg. These amps were very similar to the Super 800 Bassman and Model 815 Bassman, but there is only one known survivor of these models. The Model 600 Guitaramp was offered between 1955 and 1957 and featured 10W with 1-12 in. Jensen Concert Alnico V speaker but no examples are known to exist today.
There are other models of Bassamps such as the Model 824, Model 825, and Model 825D that have been discovered, but they were never in an Ampeg catalog. Keep in mind this may happen to other models as well.
