ELECTRIC: 200/430 SERIES

Rickenbacker offered a Model 490 that was listed in the 1974 price list. Only one prototype was built, and the guitar never went into production. However, the 200 series instruments were based off of this designed.

In 1975, pickups with visible poles, four knobs (two v, two tone), and a single-ply pickguard that does not surround the pickups were introduced. The first version of this guitar with two knobs more than likely was never produced and was strictly a prototype.
