- double cutaway maple body, through-body maple neck, 24-fret unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay, three-per-side tuners, six-saddle fixed bridge, two oblong pickups with plastic covers, black plastic pickguard with all controls and jack mounted on it, two knobs (v, tone), three-position switch, available in Colors, Natural, or Sunburst finish, 25 in. scale, mfg. 1971-1982.
In 1975, pickups with visible poles, four knobs (two v, two tone), and a single-ply pickguard that does not surround the pickups were introduced. The first version of this guitar with two knobs more than likely was never produced and was strictly a prototype.
