In 1987, Pearl Gold, Pearl Pink, Pearl White, and Turquoise finishes were introduced, through-body maple neck, 24-fret bound ebony fingerboard with offset pearl block inlay/logo block inlay at 12th fret, double locking vibrato, redesigned bound peghead, 2 single coil/1 humbucker pickups, 5-position switch replaced original part/designs, Baby Blue, Bubblegum Pink, Candy Apple Blue, Metallic Blue, Metallic Red, Mint Green, Snow White, Transparent Cherry Red, and Transparent Blue finishes were disc. In 1988, Brite Red, Gunmetal Blue, Magenta, Mediterranean Blue, and Pearl Silver finishes were introduced; Fiesta Red, Pearl Gold, and Pearl Pink finishes were disc. In 1989, Candy Apple Red and Lake Placid Blue finishes were introduced, 2 stacked coil/1 humbuckers replaced respective item, Brite Red, Mediterranean Blue, and Pearl Silver finishes were disc. In 1990, Magenta and Turquoise finishes were disc.
