- slope shouldered body, spruce top, round soundhole, tortoiseshell pickguard, two-stripe bound body/rosette, mahogany back/sides/neck, 15/19-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl block/trapezoid inlay, rosewood bridge with white pins, adjustable saddle, blackface peghead with pearl crown/logo inlay, three-per-side nickel tuners, single coil pickup, volume/tone control, available in Sunburst finish, over 4,400 mfg. 1954-1979.
This model was made popular because John Lennon played it. A model around the same time Lennon played it with the Beatles (approx. 1962-64) may add a premium to the price.

This model is patterned after John Lennon's original J-160 E guitar circa 1969, after he stripped away the psychedelic paint job he commissioned in 1967.
