Joe Naylor, cofounder of J.F. Naylor Engineering (Naylor Amps) formed Reverend Musical Instruments in March, 1997 to produce American-made, vintage-style guitars. Naylor, a graduate of the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 1987, has been designing and custom building guitars for several years. Reverend stopped production on amplifiers in 2005. In 2006, USA-made guitars were also discontinued. Currently, Reverend only offers their import Stage King series. Reverend has also moved from a factory direct store to establishing dealers throughout the country. A few worldwide dealers exist as well. For more information, contact Reverend directly or visit their website.
Instruments currently built overseas. Previously produced in Warren, MI and Eastpointe, MI between 1997 and 2006. Distributed by Reverend Musical Instruments in Warren, MI.
