First Man instruments were produced in Japan during the late 1960s and possibly into the 1970s. The "F" in the First Man logo is very similar to the reverse "F" in Fender's logo. First Man offered a variety of semi-hollowbody electrics and violin basses as well as a line of guitar amplifiers and electric organs. First Man also had an unknown relationship with Mosrite and was possibly Mosrite's distributor in Japan as they appear in Japanese catalogs together.
