WASHBURN J6 MONTGOMERY (J6 S) Description
- single rounded cutaway hollow body ES-5 style, arched spruce top, raised black pickguard, bound body, two f-holes, maple back/sides, maple neck, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with split rectangle abalone inlay, adjustable tune-o-matic bridge/metal W trapeze tailpiece, bound blackface peghead with abalone diamond/W/logo inlay, three-per-side Grover tuners, two humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-position switch, gold hardware, available in Natural or Tobacco Sunburst finish, mfg. 1989-2004.
In 1994, flamed sycamore back/sides replaced maple. In 1995, the name Mongomery was introduced, and a Washburn Resotone (swooping W) replaced the traditional W tailpiece. In 2000, maple back/and sides were reintroduced.
