VOX SOVEREIGN (V117) Description
- 60W, 4-12 in. Vox Bulldog speakers, bass piggyback unit, solid-state chassis, two channels (Normal/Bass), top mounted control panel, four inputs (two per channel), six knobs (Normal Ch.: v, b, t, Bass Ch.: v, Tone-X, power switch), Normal Ch. top boost switch, rear panel: footswitch jack, line reverse switch, aux. outlet, black covering, brown diagonal grille, chrome roller stand and single-button footswitch included, mfg. 1967-69.
When the Westminster (V1181) was updated to 120W and a built-in G tuner (V1182), the original Westminster chassis became the Sovereign. In 1968, the Sovereign was renamed the Westminster Power Stak and was sold in pairs of speaker cabinets along with the Beatle (V1143) head.
