ROLAND G-707 Description
- asymmetrical "sharkfin" alder body with a graphite stabilizer arm that connects the body to the headstock, bolt-on maple neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays, reverse headstock with six-on-the-other-side tuners, original design tremolo bridge, two humbucker pickups, three large knobs (MV, guitar tone, balance), three small knobs (cutoff freq., edit resonance, LFO Mod.), three-way mode switch, three-way pickup switch, chrome hardware, available in Black, Red, or Silver finish, mfg. 1983-86.
The G-707 guitar controller was designed to be used in conjunction with the GR-700 model synthesizer. The whole package, when introduced in 1983, had a retail price of $2,995 (Guitar controller, $995; GR-700 floor unit, $1,995).
