- a new series designed in 1996, with the blues or bottleneck player in mind, the Model T is a modern recreation of the early 1930s George Beauchamp/Paul Barth "double horseshoe" magnetic "Rick" pickup featuring Alnico magnets, affixed to a solid Honduran mahogany or American swamp ash (disc.) body that has a colorful front and back laminate of Formica Color-Core. The hard rock maple bolt-on neck features an adjustable truss rod and double graphite reinforcing, and is designed for heavier strings. Though the design screams retro, the hardware is quite modern, including a Wilkinson stop bridge/tailpiece, and Schaller nickel roller bridge. Options include the Wilkinson GTB 100 combination bridge; or Bigsby and Schaller "tune-o-matic" roller bridge combined with either a Turner Bar tailpiece, Bigsby vibrato, or the Hipshot Trilogy (multiple tunings) tailpiece, Standard colors include Rosetta Boomerang, Arctic White, Black, Ferrari Red, and Hawaiian Blue, current mfg.
