- single cutaway body design, thick mahogany back, carved maple top, 22-fret mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, wide, fat neck, headstock color matches back/neck, high gloss or satin (2006-07) finish, PRS stop tailpiece, Vintage tuners, two covered PRS #7 pickups, three-way pickup switch on upper bout, four knobs (two v, two tone), many colors/finishes, mfg. 2000-04 reintroduced late 2005-07.
Production of the PRS Singlecut model was suspended in 2004 due to a lawsuit filed by Gibson claiming PRS had copied Gibson's Les Paul body shape. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2005, and PRS reintroduced the Singlecut model late that year.
