Tornado (Model K-1260) with vibrato was introduced in 1968. In 1970, the Tornado changed designation to K-1211; the Tornado with vibrato was designated K-1212. In the Spring of 1971, the Tornado changed designation to K-1231; the Tornado with vibrato was designated K-1232.
