- double cutaway semi-hollow style, bound maple top, bound f-holes, raised black pickguard, maple back/sides/neck, set-in neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlay, tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, bound blackface peghead with screened flower/logo, three-per-side tuners, two covered humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-way switch, chrome hardware, available in Antique Violin (1983-87), Butterscotch Trans., Cherry (1983-87), Natural, Vintage Burst, or Vintage Sunburst finish, mfg. 1983-87, 1994-2002.
The 1983-87 model featured a birch body, a Gibraltar Bridge, and a Quick Change II tailpiece. The 1994-2002 model had a maple body, Full Tune bridge, and stop-style bridge. In 1997, Ibanez Super 58 humbucker pickups were introduced.
