- 12-string configuration, dreadnought style, solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, round soundhole, tortoiseshell celluloid body binding, three-stripe rosette, mahogany neck, double truss rods, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with no inlays, pearl Chesterfield/logo peghead inlay, six-per-side chrome Guild tuners, rosewood bridge with white black dot pins, tortoise pickguard, available in Natural or Sunburst finish, 15.75 in. body width, 25.5 in. scale, mfg. 1974-1983.
This model is a 12-string version of the D-40.
