- single round cutaway mahogany body, bound arched laminated maple top, mahogany neck, 22-fret bound rosewood (early models) or ebony (later models) fingerboard with pearl humpblock (early models) or thumbnail (later models) inlays, bound blackface peghead with pearl horseshoe and Gretsch logo inlay, three-per-side tuners, adjustamatic bridge, G cutout trapeze tailpiece, raised silver plexi pickguard with logo, two Filter'Tron pickups, controly layout #1 (early models, four knobs, one switch) or control layout #2 (three knobs, two switches), chrome hardware, available in Silver Sparkle top finish, 13.25 in. body width, 1.75 in. body depth, 24.6 in. scale, mfg. 1989-2009.
The original Silver Jet Model G6129 reissued in 1989 was more closely based on the 1957 reissue that wasn't released at that point. When the 1957 reissue came out in 1994, and the 1962 reissue in 1996, the Silver Jet Reissue was designated a general model - not closely based on one particular year. Be careful when determining exactly what Silver Jet model you have.
