- symmetrical pear-shaped A-style body, arched spruce top, arched maple back, maple sides, two f-holes, two-ply ivory celluloid top and back body binding, maple neck, 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, black headstock with "Gretsch" and "New Yorker" logos, four-per-side nickel tuners, adj. ebony bridge, raised tortoiseshell pickguard, engraved nickel tailpiece, available in Sunburst finish, mfg. late 1940s-early 1950s.
