- single cutaway Duo-Jet style routed solid mahogany body, four-ply bound maple top with G brand logo on lower bass bout, tooled leather side trim, maple neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlay with engraved western motif, bound headstock with maple veneer and pearl steer's head and logo inlay, three-per-side tuners, adjustable bridge/Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, raised gold pickguard with signature/logo, two exposed DeArmond pickups, two knobs on lower treble bout, one knob on upper treble bout, gold hardware, available in Brown Mahogany Orange finish, mfg. 1955-1963.

The Bigsby vibrato was available with or without gold-plating. This model was originally issued with a jeweled Western styled strap. In late 1955, three-ply top and back binding was introduced. In 1957, an ebony fingerboard with humptop block inlays was introduced, G brand and tooled leather side trim were discontinued. In 1958, thumbnail fingerboard inlays replaced block inlays, steerĀ“s head peghead inlay replaced horseshoe inlay, Filter'Tron pickups replaced DeArmonds, a three-way tone switch replaced the knob and was placed by the pickup selector switch. In 1961, a double cutaway body style and Orange finish was introduced. In 1962, a standby switch was added.
