- single cutaway Les Paul-style mahogany body, carved maple top, set five-piece mahogany neck, 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard with slashed block inlays, bound headstock with black overlay, Gibson logo, and Les Paul 25 over 50 inlay, three-per-side metal tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, TP-6 tailpiece, raised black pickguard, two covered humbucker pickups, four black barrel knobs (two v, two tone), three-way pickup switch, coil tap switch, gold hardware, available in Antique Sunburst, Black, Cherry Sunburst, Natural, or Wine Red finish, approx. 3,400 mfg. 1978-79 only.
This guitar commemorated 25 years of the Les Paul Custom, and 50 years of Les Paul's continuing career. It features a regular serial number as well as a limited edition number on the back of the headstock.
