FENDER VIBROVERB (BLACKFACE) Description
- 40W, 1-15 in. speaker, tube chassis, preamp: 3 X 7025, 12AX7, 2 X 12AT7, power: 2 X 6L6GC, 5U4 rectifier, two channels (normal and vibrato), four input jacks (two for each channel), blackface control panel, nine silver-top knobs (Norm: v, t, b, Vibrato: v, t, b, r, s, i), bright switches, black tolex covering, silver grille, mfg. 1963-64.
Blackface introduced as Model AA763. This version of the Vibroverb was completely different from the first version with different circuitry in the phase inverter and tremolo. Fender stopped making this amp in fall of 1964, however models were still sold through early 1965. This model was replaced by the Vibrolux Reverb.
