FENDER STANDARD TELECASTER (U.S. MFG., 1982-85) Description
- single cutaway ash body with routing channel between the pickups, bolt-on maple neck, 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlay, "Telecaster" logo on headstock with six-on-one-side tuners, bridge with six individual string adj. saddles, white pickguard, two single coil pickups, two knobs (v, tone) and a three-way switch mounted on a metal plate, chrome hardware, available in the following Standard Colors: Black, Brown Sunburst, Cherry Sunburst, Natural, Sienna Sunburst, or White finish, and the following Custom Colors: Aztec Gold, Candy Apple Green, Emerald Green, Mocha Brown, Pewter, Ruby Red or Sapphire Blue finish, mfg. 1982-85.
In 1983, a 6-saddle bridge with top loading strings, and a single-ply pickguard was introduced. This Standard Stratocaster is not to be confused with the Mexican-made Standard that was introduced in 1991, and is still in production.
