- offset double cutaway poplar (1991-2001) or alder (2002-present) body, bolt-on maple neck, 21-fret maple (4602) or rosewood (4600) fingerboard with black dot inlay, vintage-style tremolo, white pickguard, three single coil pickups, three knobs (v, two tone), five-position switch, chrome hardware, available in Arctic White, Black, Blue Agave (2001-05), Brown Sunburst, Candy Apple Red (2009-present), Chrome Red (2006-08), Crimson Red Metallic (disc. 2000), Electron Blue (2006-08), Lake Placid Blue (disc. 2000, 2009-present), Midnight Blue (2001-03), Midnight Wine (2001-2015), or Sage Green Metallic (disc.) finish, mfg. 1991-present.
In 2006, an upgraded model was introduced with shielded body cavities, re-voiced pickups, a thicker bridge, and all come with a gig-bag. In 2009, a tinted neck, parchment pickguard and knobs, and a 70s-style logo were introduced. In 2012, the Standard Stratocaster no longer came standard with a gig bag.
