FENDER MUSTANG BASS (U.S. MFG.) Description
- offset double cutaway poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, four-on-one-side tuners, fixed bridge, plastic/metal pickguard, thumb rest, single P-style pickup, two knobs (v, tone), chrome hardware, available in Antigua, Black, Blonde, Blue, Natural, Red, Sunburst, Walnut, White, or Wine finish, mfg. 1966-1983.
In 1969, Competition finishes were introduced (solid colors of blue, burgundy, orange and red with racing stripes. A model with this finish was also referred to as a Competition Mustang.
