- offset double cutaway asymmetrical basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, oversized ('60s Strat) headstock, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlay, 24 in. scale, floating bridge/Fender Dynamic vibrato tailpiece, six-on-a-side tuners, chrome hardware, white pickguard, Vintage Strat single coil/humbucker pickups, volume/tone controls, two three-way selector switches, available in Fiesta Red or Sonic Blue finish, mfg. 1996-99, reintroduced 2003-04.

This model was developed in conjunction with Kurt Cobain, who was front-man of the former band, Nirvana. The used model was so popular, Fender decided to reintroduce this guitar in 2003.
