- similar to American Standard Stratocaster, except has a Roland GK-2A synth driver mounted behind bridge pickup, three synth control knobs, available in Black, Brown Sunburst, Candy Apple Red, or Vintage White finish, mfg. 1995-98.
This model is built pre-wired to drive the Roland GR series guitar synthesizer, as well as perform like a Stratocaster. Roland's GK-2A pickup system can interface with Roland's GR-1, GR-09, and GR-50 synthesizers; as well as the VG-8 guitar system and GI-10 guitar/MIDI interface. This model was replaced by the Mexican-made Standard Rolad Ready Stratocaster in 1998.
