- 00-style, spruce top, round soundhole, tortoise pickguard, white body binding, walnut back/sides, cherry neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, rosewood bridge with white pins, metal logo plate mounted on peghead, three-per-side tuners, available in Natural or Sunburst finish, 14.5 in. body width, mfg. 1941-49, 1958-1970.
The FT 45 was renamed the Cortez by Gibson in 1958, mfg. 1958 to 1970. In 1962, Natural finish with adjustable bridge became an option.
