- offset double cutaway alder body, contoured quilted maple top, bolt-on maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard with teardrop inlay, locking Floyd Rose tremolo, six-on-one-side tuners, chrome hardware, two Seymour Duncan custom humbucking pickups, three controls (two v, tone), three-way selector, available in Trans. Black, Trans. (Oriental) Blue, Trans. Magenta, Trans. Purple, or Trans. Red finish, 25.5 in. scale, disc.

In 1998, basswood body replaced the alder body; Trans. Root Beer finish was introduced; Trans. Purple finish was disc. This model was previously available with 2 single coil/1 humbucker pickup configuration.
