Robert Godin has been involved in the guitar industry since 1972 and he started producing guitars under his name in 1987. After the success of Godin's A Series guitars, they introduced a mandolin in 2000. Godin currently produces guitars under six different trademarks: Godin, Seagull, Art & Lutherie, La Patrie, Norman, and Simon & Patrick.
