Freshwater Folk Musical Instruments was run by luthier Dave Freshwater and his family in Scotland. They focused on the mandolin family including standard mandolins, tenor mandolas, octave mandolas and mandolins, citterns, mandocellos, and bouzoukis. Instruments were priced accordingly to a base model with several options available. The Standard mandolin started around $750 (all prices are quoted in United Kingdom pounds, so assume some fluctuation because of the market). In 2011, Freshwater was forced into bankruptcy and it appears that they are no longer producing instruments.
Mandolins previously produced in Beauly, Iverness, Scotland between the early 1990s and 2010.
