The Clifford trademark was used on a variety of acoustic guitars and mandolins by J.W. Jenkins & Sons of Kansas City, MO. Around 1895, Jenkins built a factory to start manufacturing guitars and they first used the names Clifford, Washington, and possibly Harwood. It is unknown how long Clifford instruments were produced.
