- symmetrical A-style body shape, ebony fingerboard with dot markers, tortoiseshell pickguard, single blade pickup, oblong housing of pickup, two knobs on the sides of the bridge, available in Sunburst finish, mfg. 1938-1943.
In 1941, the EM-100 was renamed the EM-125.

Model EM-150

- symmetrical A-00-style body shape, carved and bound back and top, unbound Charlie Christian pickup, pickguard with single-ply binding, knobs on opposite sides of bridge, available in Brown or Golden Sunburst finish, mfg. 1936-1971.
In 1941, a rectangular pole pickup replaced the Charlie Christian pickup, and the knobs were moved to the same side of the body. In 1949, a P-90 pickup replaced the rectangular pole, and a clamshell tailpiece cover and bound fingerboard were introduced. In 1956, Golden Sunburst finish became an option.

Model EM-200/Florentine

- two-point F-style body shape, solid mahogany body with carved top, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay, single P-90 Soapbar pickup, laminated beveled-edge pickguard, metal bridge, scroll style peghead with crown inlay, four-per-side tuners, gold-plated hardware, available in Sunburst finish, mfg. 1954-1971.
In 1960, this model was renamed the EM-200 and in 1962, it was named back to the Florentine.
